1st Visit Travel Dates!

Grant and I are leaving on May 25th and I couldn't be anymore excited to meet our baby girl for the first time~ We will be returning home on June 3rd. The exciting part is that we will be able to have her stay with us at all times while we are there. I can't imagine how hard that is going to be having to leave her and not knowing when we will be able to come back to get her.

For everyone that knows Grant knows how hard this is going to be for him to travel to a country where we don't know what the toilets, showers, or running water will be like. I am hoping that we will have electricity where we will be staying.

Here's an update for you all...

We are set to schedule the dates for our first trip to Ghana in the next month. However, for that to happen, a total of $5500 will be due. The rest will be paid when we return in order for our case to make it through the court. We are asking for your continued prayers and support, but any financial aid is appreciated. Our FSP has to reach at least $3000 for the trip to go through soon.

Again, ALL support is appreciated and we have been incredibly blessed on this journey that God has embarked us on.

Here's a few updates for you all....

We just recently received Eden's birth certificate, and we should be able to make the first travel in May. However, we are waiting to hear from the Ghanaian government in regards to our government fees and whatnot. That includes waiting to see if our grants will be approved and so forth.

Thank you all for your continuous support for our family in this journey. We couldn't be more grateful and couldn't feel more appreciated for the unending support and prayers. xxx

A few things to Update!

Both Grant and I have received our Visas for Ghana! We have also completed our Home Study, and had our Yellow Fever vaccines to travel!! I am so excited as we continue to move closer! I was telling Grant this past weekend how much I miss Eden and how my heart aches for her. Have you every had something that totally consumes everything you do from the time you wake up until you lay down and you still are wondering if someone held her today, did she eat today, does she feel hungry, did she have any medications??
We still have a few fundraisers going on now. we have an online auction set up under my facebook account, a tupperware party online set up under my facebook, a t shirt fundraiser, and a painting on canvas and wine party Saturday May 22nd from 6-10pm at Jack's in Spring Lake $40 a person!

Just a few things to update you all on....

The fundraiser had resulted in us raising $260. The kids had so much fun, running around and enjoying a night out. The night was well spent with the people that came out, so thanks to those who did.

Attached is a more recent picture we'd received of our little girl.

Also, we are going through with another fundraiser in the coming weeks. We are creating t-shirts to continue the support for our sweet Eden. You can contact me via Facebook or email if you're interested.

Thank you all for the continued support for our family and our journey. It's much appreciated.

Here's an update for you all...

As of tonight, we have completed the last of our home study process. God blessed the night with warm conversations between our family and an agent with the home study agency...and some delicious, authentic Korean food.

On March 23, from 6-8 pm, we will be holding a fundraiser at the Lost City in Holland, Michigan. For only $20, you can enjoy unlimited access to laser tag, bowling, and miniature golf. All proceeds will, of course, go towards bringing our sweet Eden home later this year.
Also, we are talking about designing our own t-shirts to sell, but more details regarding that will come later...

Thank you all for the continuous support and love; it speaks to our family in ways you wouldn't be able to imagine.
